The ministries of Defense of Brazil and China secured, this Wednesday, September 8, in Brasilia, a document that reinforces the bilateral cooperation in the Defense affairs, with the formation of personnel and training.
The two countries confirmed the second meeting of the Joint Committee ‘China-Brazil’ of Exchange and Cooperation between the Ministries of Defense to happen next year, in Brazil.
The Minister of Defense of China, Liang Guanglie, was received by the Brazilian colleague, Nelson Jobim, and visited the Headquarters of the Brazilian Army.
The understanding predicts still the growth of the visits of military delegations of high level and the deepening of the mechanisms of bilateral cooperation in Defense.
Brazil and China intend to increase the cooperation in the areas of specific technologies, aeronautical control and security of the aviation.
According to the Joint Communiqué issued after the meeting, China is interested in promoting joint trainings between the armies of the two countries in China, in 2011, and between pilots of both Air Forces.
“The Brazilian side showed its favorable reaction to the Chinese proposal of participating of training in operational skydiving of high altitude and also of receiving courses of Portuguese language in Brazil”, informs the Communiqué.
General Liang Guanglie will be in official visit to Brazil up to Friday (September 10).
