On October 6, the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (Fiesp) carries out a seminar to discuss the opportunities that will be produced with the government purchases for the Armed Forces.
According to the entity, in next ten years, Army, Navy and Air Force will receive investments in of US$ 27 billions.
The Fiesp believes that the project of re-equipping of the Armed Forces, prescribed in the National Strategy of Defense, also will open a new market for the national industries.
The event, promoted by the Department of the Industry of Defense (Comdefesa) of the Fiesp, will dispose of the presence of the Minister of Defense, Nelson Jobim, and, in parallel, there will be carried out business roundtables, so that the industrialists get to know the demands of the Armed Forces.
“It will be an opportunity to show the potential of the national industry in the development and in the supply of products for the defense area”, affirmed the director of the Comdefesa, Jairo Cândido.
According to the Fiesp, the principal sectors of interest of the Armed Forces are the following: Petrochemical; food; textile and clothing; paints and varnishes; material for combat to fire; safety and rescue; health; hygiene and cleaning; expedients and packages; wires and cables; tools; material specific for diving; computers; defense; electric; civil construction; railroad; hotels; software; energy; steel and metallurgical industries.
