Iranian of the Quds Force in Brazil without visa

Iranian of the Quds Force in Brazil without visa

The Opposition wants to know why Esmail Ghaani, lieutenant of Qassem Suleimani, commander of the Quds Force (Niru-ye Ghods), special unity of the Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution, entered in Brazil without visa, integrating the group of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

The Quds Force is the elite of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and, according to the Opposition in Brazil, one of its objectives is to propagate the international terrorism, having supported actions of the group Hezbollah, principally in Lebanon, in Palestine and in the attacks against the AMIA, in Buenos Aires, in the 1990’s.

In accordance with request presented to the Commission of Exterior Relations of the Chamber of the Deputies, Esmail Ghaani is the person designated by the Quds to do the triangulation, via Dakar, of harmful and sensitive products bound for Iran.

A document of 1998, of the Federation of American Scientists, reports that the primary function of the Quds Force is to organize, to train, to equip and to finance foreign Islamic revolutionary movements.

The Quds Force answers straightly to the Supreme Leader of Iran, the ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The name of Esmail Ghaani doesn’t consist in any of the official lists directed by Iran with the names that integrated the group of president Ahmadinejad.

According to the Itamaraty, on the day of the visit of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Iranian embassy, in Brasilia, solicited the concession of conditional landing to the president himself and to other four Iranians that were accompanying him. Among them, Ghaani.

The Ministry of Foreign Relations informed that the concession is inserted in the competence of the Federal Police.

“It is the foreseen possibility for the cases in which members of official groups of any nationality arrive without previously granted visa, since it is of the interest of the Brazilian government and since the solicitant isn´t included in lists of international alerts”, says a note of the Brazilian chancellery set out to the Congress.

The General Coordination of the Police Office of Immigration, of the Department of Federal Police, granted the conditional landing with validity of eight days for Ahmadinajed and the four Iranians.

The Justice Ministry explains that arrival or depart registers weren´t located in the databases of the Federal Police in the name of Esmail Ghaani.

The Opposition suspects that Esmail Ghaani might have reunited with the high level of the government and that he might have discussed subjects like the export of uranium.

The Ministers of Foreign Relations, Celso Amorim, and of Justice, Luiz Paulo Barreto, may be called to explain the fact in the National Congress.
